Our Story
At Freya's Felines, our story begins not with a business plan, but with a deep, lifelong devotion to beauty, elegance, and the quiet magic of cats. We are Jon and Zara, based in Westminster, Colorado - two people brought together by life and by a shared appreciation for rare grace and timeless companionship.
Our journey started with Kiki, our beloved Maine Coon, whose presence transformed our home into something warmer, softer, and undeniably more alive. Everything changed the day we attended a cat show in Denver and encountered the Norwegian Forest Cat - regal, powerful, elegant, and almost mythical in presence.
What began as a wish to welcome one more cat into our family became something far greater. Our search led us to Europe, where we discovered two remarkable kittens - a male and a female of outstanding lineage and beauty. We chose both. With that decision, Freya's Felines was born.
Today, our cattery is a carefully curated world where each kitten is raised with intention, love, and deep respect for the breed's heritage. We do not simply breed cats. We create living works of art - companions of rare beauty, noble spirit, and unforgettable presence.

We are located in Westminster, Colorado, just northwest of Denver. We welcome families from the entire Denver metro area and across Colorado, and we can assist with safe transportation throughout the United States.
Yes. All of our breeding cats are TICA-registered and come from carefully selected bloodlines. Kittens leave with registration paperwork according to the terms of sale.

Kittens leave our cattery with age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, and a complete health examination performed by a licensed veterinarian.
Our kittens typically leave between 12 and 16 weeks of age. This allows them adequate time to develop socially and physically with their mother and littermates.
Absolutely. Our kittens are raised in our home as part of the family. They receive daily interaction and are exposed to normal household activities, helping them become confident and affectionate companions.
Yes. Once kittens are old enough for evaluation, reservations may be accepted with a non-refundable deposit. Details are provided individually to approved families.
Families on our waiting list are contacted in the order deposits are received. We work closely with each family to match them with the most suitable kitten based on temperament, lifestyle, and preferences.
Breeding rights are considered on a very limited basis and only to approved, established breeders who share our commitment to ethical breeding practices.
We can assist with transportation arrangements within the United States. Whenever possible, we prefer to meet families in person or arrange safe, stress-free transportation.
The health and safety of our cats and kittens are our top priority. Visits may be arranged by appointment for approved families. We are also happy to provide photos, videos, and video calls.
We recommend having a litter box, quality kitten food, food and water bowls, scratching posts, toys, and a comfortable bed ready before your kitten arrives.
We believe our responsibility does not end when a kitten leaves our home. We are always available to answer questions and provide guidance throughout your cat's life.
